Yahoo considers going without UPS and generators for some future data center projects. Yahoo
is exploring designs in which only a small portion of a data center would have UPS support,

Beacon Power Notified of $2.25 Mill. Award to Develop Next-Generation Flywheel System.
Beacon Power Corporation (has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to
negotiate a $2.25 million award in support of developing a next-generation flywheel energy storage
system. The program aims to develop next-generation module 100 kWh and 100 kW flywheel
energy storage, capable of storing four times the energy at 12.5 % of the cost-per-energy-unit,
Company's current Gen 4 flywheel. The new flywheel would be capable of more than 40,000 full
charge/discharge cycles in its lifetime, thereby achieving a cost per storage cycle below ARPA-E's

Chloride Group PLC board of director announces that it intends unanimously to recommend
acceptance of the cash offer dated Emerson on 29 June 2010 for the entire capital of Chloride.
