Eaton plans to manufacture UPSes in India
Eaton's vice chairman and chief operating officer of the electric sector Thomas Gross,
says that Eaton is expecting to reach about 30% of Indian's $ 500 million UPS market, in about two
years, and that  UPS prices in India tend to be lower by a magnitude of 10-20% than even China,
indicating that  Eaton considers expanding its current assembly operations in India to manufacturing ,
primarily for the local market.

Flywheel Manufacturer Gets $13M Investment
VYCON,  LA manufacturer of  flywheels alternative to ride through batteries energy for backup
power systems, announces closing  a $13.7 million round of funding. The funding, led by the
BankInvest Group in Denmark, includes conversion of $6.5 million in existing convertible notes,
$1.1M of existing trade debt and investors. The investment according to Vycon will positions it well
to accelerate already existing expansion strategies.

Hundreds of servers down for hours in Rackspace London data center
UPS module  failure to transfer the load properly caused power outage at a Rackspace data center  
leaving several hundred servers offline for hours as technicians needed to help restarting equipment.
In numerous instances they had to replace power supplies in servers, replace firewalls, reconfigure
switches and to log on to servers to get them to boot properly.

Fuji Electric Systems Co., Ltd  merges the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) business of FES and
TDK-Lambda with the internal power supply business (mainly comprised of custom power supplies)
of Fuji Electric High-Tech Corporation..With this merger, Energy and Environmental Systems and
Solutions Division, Drive and Solution Business Headquarters has been created to handle the UPS
business. FES will continue to use previous sales and service networks to avoid burdening customers
with a change in commercial distribution.
